Alassane's Story

     Alassane lives in Burkina Faso, which is one of the poorest countries in the world. Only 29% of the poulation of Burkina Faso can read and write, so Alassane is very blessed to be getting an education and learning about the love of Jesus for him.
     Alassane's father repairs radios and TVs. His mother sells small local spices. He has a sister in third grade and a three-year-old brother. The family is Muslim and lives on squatters land.
     Alassane likes reading and hopes to be a policeman when he grows up. He likes to play soccer and his favorite food is rice.
     He is currently in second grade and his birthday is February 28, 2010.
