This ministry began with one women who was sick and in great poverty, but wanting to work to take care of her family, and she began to pray. Then
Dr. Moussa met an American Christian businessman who miraculously shared this same vision. So a large donation was made to start this ministry. And after him a few other Christians in business also contributed.
This is the way this works. A woman applies for a small loan—perhaps to buy some goats to raise or even something so small as a little bit of salt and pepper to sell. Most of the business projects are done by individuals, but some are done as a group. They are usually given about nine months to repay their loans, along with interest.
The women meet once a month to discuss business and for a Bible study. At first it was only a few women from a few churches. Now the program has expanded to include 500 women and many of them are not Christians, but this is a wonderful way to share the Gospel with neighbors.
